The Mother of All Floods

A new movie on an old topic, real old, Hollywood goes all out for the big bucks on old Mayan Calendar, and the end of time on the long count calendar.
Yup, 2012 block buster, you bet. People will want to see how it all ends. Is it wishful thinking or what? Is that the only way that we can imagine change in this world of men?

Predictions about this portrayal of the end? Well you can bet government will have prepared for it secretly, paid for by all the money big banks have been ripping off from all the poor taxpayers, that would be a nice little twist. “We ripped you off of billions and billions for your own good you see”. I like it all ready.

Than, you have to expect the masses to be portrayed as “insane and brutal”, kept in the dark for their own good, hell, “they would have gone mad if we had told them”… And we can also expect a few survivors who make it on luck and the love of some god, so that all the poor bastards in the audience can identify with that, knowing all too well that if you don’t have a fortune in the bank, that will be the bottom line to the selection of who gets saved and who goes down the drain.

We will most probably see some justification for a brutal police/military state. And if all is not prepared in time, some low level government patsy will be made to blame. And we will most probably see some failure due to unruly masses of your average people, as if average people had a chance in hell of being chosen…

The president will most probably be an African American. Just like in the last movie “Armageddon”. Right?

It should all be real good simpleton entertainment in the most predictable way, plenty of CGI to fill in the gaps left by the 2 dimensional characters in it all.

So, why?
